And I'm joined here with Paolo Ardolino, CTO of Bitfinex.

Paolo, great to have a conversation with you again.

So the question is a very interesting one now.

Harborne owns a substantial stake in a country called Bitfinex, which is one of the world's major crypto exchanges, and Bendilo co-founded Bitmex.

So they both have massive interests in crypto.

What do they want from Reform? Well, they want all sorts of things.

And people don't realize, but Hong Kong players had a big part to play creation of FTX right and I think that's because they understood this dynamic uh the stable coins like tether was originally founded because of Hong Kong Bank you know wouldn't allow access to US dollar reserves for uh for Pablo at the time for for bidrex so um uh not for bit what was the exchange that you ran um uh for um God what's the exchange that they run is it bidrex it's not I don't think let me just give a quick check there's so many of those these days um Do you remember offhand? It's not Bittrex.

What was the exchange that they're associated with? Bitfinex, my God.

Bitfinex, okay.

Yeah, Bitfinex, my God.

I just, sometimes in my old age, Ricky, I'm just like losing names.

It's all good.

But, you know, Bitfinex at the time, like they had some problems with, you know, this whole China thing and the Hong Kong dynamic has played a big role in not just like Chinese Bitcoin history, but broader Bitcoin history.

Like Arthur Hayes started his career kind of like as a runner.

But I'm pretty sure that was one of the red flags that popped up on my, uh, radar.

Um, KuCoin obviously has it, MEXC has it, um, Bitfinex has it, but Kraken easily has the best liquidity.

One mil on the buy side and, and 500 on the sell side.

Um, KuCoin has it against Eth as well.

Tokenization is becoming a larger part of the gold and the finance narrative.

And this is a trend that is set to continue with Bitfinex Securities, who just facilitated a $50 million capital raise for Alchema Metacore, a Luxembourg-based platform.

commercializing ultra-high purity nickel wire for use in semiconductors, aerospace, defense and other advanced manufacturing applications.
