Yeah, 'cause I just went through those bear markets.

Like '18 was brutal, you know? I, I, I got, I lost, I lost some Bitcoin on BitConnect.

That hurt, and then it went down 85%.

I'm like, wow, I look stupid as fuck.

We're still mentally

ill. BitConnect era, man.

Some of my buddies were telling me like, hey, you know, you can earn like... 10% in a week, you know, you earn back your capital, blah, blah, blah.

And that was XRP era too.

And if it is over, it would have been a very mild winter.

We had some minor blowups in the treasury company space, but we didn't get anything on the scale of FTX or Mt. Gox or OneCoin or BitConnect this time around.

You know, the big high profile blowups that we tend to see in the depths of crypto winter.

We haven't really had any of that this time.

If I use Ethereum and if I use the network to develop a project, And I want to have a coin.

And I decide I'm going to be like BitConnect and run a big Ponzi scheme and a scab.

That's the choice that I made.

And I made the wrong choice.

For the people who were around in 2017, 2018, maybe even 2019, you may recall some influencers, some shitcoin influencers like Trevon James, right? That used to sit there and make all these videos in their hotel rooms talking about how they just live off of BitConnect.

Well, guess what, guys? It's 10 years later and the state, as much as we hate them, is still going after this guy.

So, yeah, we're going to take a look at that.

Okay, so look, just to give people context, this was right after BitConnect blew up.

For the people who don't know what BitConnect is, it's very simple.

when I was, like, real young 'cause my dad had a friend who worked for, like, some mo- some movie company, and they would, whenever they didn't go, they would give us the tickets, and so I got to see wrestling a bunch of times and some other bullshit.

Uh, but I went to a box seat, God, what year was it? 2016 or 2017 when BitConnect was still blowing up.

I knew all the BitConnect guys, and the top BitConnect guy in America, his name was Glenn something, he spent, like, 400 grand putting on, like, three or four days worth of events for his BitConnect team, and I was in media, so I got invited.

Mother- this motherfucker took us to, like, it was some college, some, like, super-duper playoff college game football that, like, people were spending thousands of dollars just to get shitty tickets on, and we was up in the box seat, and it had a buf- it had a great buffet too.

You know? All you could dr- I was excited over all you could drink, like, soft drinks.
