And that's the thing they don't have.

This defense doesn't have, you know, our Mason Thomas, who was just an elite pass rusher the last couple of years.

They don't really have that guy on the edge, but they have some really solid players.

It's they're getting a lot of coverage sacks.

Yeah, he is what he is.

Bishop Thomas was a great pickup.

Yeah.

That's a good one.

And I haven't seen anyone – Outside of Stone and Jaden Jackson's really take the next step.

Now, Bishop Thomas has made some nice plays.

Trent Wilson has made some nice plays.

The sack against Texas.

Those guys, they come to work every day, and they prepare like the starters.

Trent Wilson, Bishop Thomas, to name a few of the defensive tackles that have came along.

And we got other guys in that room who just we haven't had the opportunity yet to show them to the world, but they're ready to play.

They play winning football, and they grade a winner every time they step on the field.

I could just tell where he was in spring ball and he's just continued to work at his game and he takes it seriously.

He wants to be great.

Bishop Thomas has put in the time since he got here and the one thing about him is even when he didn't know the playbook, his effort was phenomenal and he's going wherever he's going like his hair is on fire and like somebody's trying to hold him underwater and he has a tremendous passion about him and And now that he's learned the playbook, you're starting to see him play some really good football.

I mean, when you talk about the interior defensive linemen, whether it be the aforementioned David Stone, Jay Jackson, Ben Constance, We had questions about what they were going to look like from an interior perspective.

Bishop Thomas, Trent Wilson have been fantastic.

Yeah, those have been the guys.

We had a big conversation all offseason about who's going to step up behind David Stone and Jaden Jackson.

I think we all kind of thought Trent Wilson and Bishop Thomas would have a role.

I think both guys have exceeded my expectations this year.

I mean, you look at uh bishop thomas what a steal to get him in the transfer portal as late as they did i feel like he's come in and given him some really good snaps and they love putting him in in some of those third down pass rushing circumstances it kind

and gets back up off the mat if it's coming off of a loss and stays even keel if it's coming off of a win.

You saw Trent Wilson making plays at the Cotton Bowl.

You've been happy with Bishop Thomas.

Jake Crale made some nice plays.

It is going to be super important for that group to control, uh, kind of what Kentucky wants to do from an offensive standpoint.

He's awesome.

You got, uh, Bishop Thomas that's playing really well.

Trent Wilson gets his sack.

First time I've ever seen that guy smile.
