I find a lot of juried art calls, open calls, fiber is not an accepted medium and I think maybe it's because a lot of it tends to be installment big huge installments they might be labor intensive to ship or um but you know I'm using mine mine literally that's why I say it's a painting it's just painted with fiber um So, and you have, like, some of my people, other people that I follow, Bisa Butler, who is a contemporary quilter.

So she does portraits and quilts.

And Candy G. Lopez, who is doing... she uses yarns and like a, uh, a mesh.
