Bilston

John Courtney and the rather wonderful Pure Reason Revolution, who will be gracing these shores very soon.

We'll be off to see them on November the 4th at the Robin in Bilston.

Hope to see you there.

Support from Kairos as well.

Shock, wasn't it?

... a shock, yeah, apart from, say, Bilston beating Stafford, uh, Town 2-0 away from home, and Prestwich Hayes beating Trafford 2-1, and Trafford having a little bit of a wobble.

Slight wobble.

Um, yeah.

So in group one, uh, we have Bacup Borough versus Charmat Richard, Forward Amateurs versus Exton Villa, Holker Old Boys are gonna host Nelson, and Barlick Town are going to host Darwen.

I gave a bad example there by saying Bacup Borough.

Got Jane Somerville with us this morning on the show.

Managing Director of Bowers & Joes, based in Bilston in the West Midlands.

We've got Jane Sumville, who's with us on the show this morning, manufacturing boss herself, managing director of Bowers & Jones in Bilston in the West Midlands.

So not too far at all from you, Corinne.

This was the edge of the world.

A little bit like Bilston.

No, I'm joking.

It's not like Bilston.

This is not like Bilston at all.

If you are from Bilston, I apologize.

But it's like the edge of the world.

Did you get some cotton candy, popcorn, peanuts? Anyways, before we cross the pond to the United States, you need to meet a man named John Bill Ricketts.

Now, John Bill was born in Bilston, England in October, 1769.

The exact date is unknown because not a ton is really known about his early life outside of the circus.

Doesn't really matter, right? What we do know is this.
