I think you can definitely see that too playing out in other worlds than these as King's kind of like, is this a healthy obsession or could this become my own disease that I can't get out of, you know? And I hear him describe him as like the face of evil.

And I think of Henry Bowers, but I also think of Billy Nolan too, where it could be because I've been thinking about Carrie a lot recently.

But just how Chris describes him as like a greaser, but like an evil greaser.

Like there's something wrong with him.

But her biggest bully in school, this girl named Chris Hargensen, she was banned from prom for not complying, so her prom tickets get revoked and she knows that Carrie's going with Tommy.

So Chris and her boyfriend Billy decide to devise a terrible scheme to get revenge on Carrie.

But they don't realize that Carrie is not your average girl.

And after she starts reading some books in the library on telekinesis and different things like that, Carrie might actually be the one who gets the revenge.

And I mean, again, you all know the main plot of the movie.

I don't necessarily have to go through the whole thing With you.

But, you know, once, uh, Chris realizes she's not going to prom, Chris and Billy decide they're gonna do this horrible thing to Carrie, and once they do it, everything that happens after that is, is just Carrie raging on everybody.

The, I mean, there's a lot of very innocent people who were affected by what Chris and Billy did at prom.

It is his first.

Billy Nolan.

Yeah, he was, he played Billy in Carrie, which I completely forgot about.

I forgot.

Blacked out.

But later on, we see Chris driving around with her delinquent boyfriend, Billy Nolan, played by your boy and mine, a pre-Grease, pre-Saturday Night Fever, but current Welcome Back Cotter star, John Travolta.

And, you know, he's just driving along in his car and a buddy's just showing up.

And he's like, hey, man, we're going to the Roadhouse.

but it made me understand her in a way that I think previous iterations have not really tried to interrogate.

You know, in the novel, there is, like, Chris is sexually exha- sexually assaulted by Billy Nolan, and that's kind of the way that King tries to humanize her.

And so I like that it doesn't do that.

Instead, we get her as this, like, you know, product of divorce, and her dad is, you know, like, losing all his money.

She doesn't go to prom, and all this shit-

Oh, yeah, Billy Nolan.
