Oh, and adaptations themselves, you know, not, not wholly original in any, uh, stretch of the imagination.

And, um, so I, I quite love the idea of, um, Morissette's Scotland, PA, um, kind of popular, you know, bringing Shakespeare to the masses in, um, all sorts of ways, um, thematically and, uh, structurally.

Yeah, it's, it's a super fun kind of, uh, dark and comedic take on the play, and at the same time, it's incredibly, uh, silly.

[laughs] I think that there's something really interesting about how this movie takes, um, what is a very, you know, tense, dramatic, uh, tragedy, and kind of by lowering the stakes of what they're working for makes it that much more dramatic, right? It's such a casual setting that we're going to go to, because we are going to go into the small town of Scotland, PA, uh, and the burger shop of Duncan's within it [laughs] for-

Um, so I'm glad that you, you know, are opening with the summary of the witches, and, and kind of setting the context for your listeners, um, about this carnival environment, and the fact that they're hippie stoners.

Uh, and there's a lot to unpack in the choices that Morissette is making here.
