You have to play quarterback.

And I think that is... that is for Billy Fessler as the position coach and Arthur Smith as the offensive coordinator.

And Ryan day is the head coach who specializes in quarterback training to make sure that Julian saying has the proper balance in his head.

I think, um, I, I, I did feel like he was looking to Jeremiah too much against Texas, and there were some missed opportunities because of that.

Julian, it looked like Texas mixed, and this guy's coverage is a little bit better in the second half there.

When you go over to the sideline, what's it like for you to get feedback right away? Going right to Arthur Smith, Billy Fessler, going right to the iPad, what's that look like for you?

Yeah, we have a mix of communication.

We have Coach Smith and Coach Fessler both kind of with me going through the iPad and seeing kind of what they're doing and maybe is there a tendency that's happening.

It's a specific attribute about his game, and that was using his legs.

And I know that that also is a bit of a broken record because Ryan Day echoed it throughout the offseason, and we heard from Billy Fessler, and we know that Arthur Smith is going to rely on the quarterbacks to extend plays and at times go get a first down if he has to.

But I think just that one flash, a fourth and three, a plays breaking down, Julian saying, recognizing that what they had called was not going to work and putting his foot in the ground and going.

I asked him about it on Tuesday, and I didn't really expect him, because it is a question about himself, to dive in deep into an answer and his psyche and the way he approached the game a year ago.

I thought it was a really good point.

We talked earlier about the numbers from his quarterbacks, and I think they all looked like they could go in a game and be okay if Ohio State needed to.

Now, obviously, Julian is light years ahead of the other two, but I think that they would all go in and be fine.

I understand that.

it's hard for me to imagine that you get to December if things go according to plan with the level of development that Ryan Day, Billy Fessler, and Arthur Smith are pouring into it that Julian Sane doesn't solidify himself as a first-round draft pick.

But when you say top 50...

If he's not guaranteed of being a first-round draft pick, I agree with

And with Arthur Smith, if he's going to be down in the field, that tells me in a really short time that he really trusts – whoever's going to be up in that box, whether it be Keenan Bailey or if it's Billy Fessler or Tyler, you know, I don't know how that's going to go.

I would think that the offensive line coach is going to be down on the field because usually when the defense is on the field, those offensive linemen are all huddled around each other and they're getting coaching.

So whoever it is that's going to be up in that box, Arthur Smith must really have a lot of faith in them and what they're seeing.

And we just right now, as Tony said, we've been on this one for quite a while on BuckeyeInsiders.com.

But also, what is Ryan Dave really truly thinking? Arthur Smith and Billy Fessler really truly in their heart of hearts, what are they thinking right now? The stuff they're not willing to say out loud.

And that's a little harder for us to get intel on.

So we're still projecting a little bit.

But then he had these OTAs with him.

And all of that time with Billy Fessler and Arthur Smith in that the way that he's processing it in real time, plus being able to go convey that with a louder volume and more surety in the huddle or on the move.

That's probably the best example stuff from the player versus coaches Olympics.
