And I just feel like when you look at the White Sox prospect list, everyone is going to be asking for Caleb Bonhamer.

Because if it's not Bonhamer, who's realistic in trading? And people have been mentioning Billy Carlson.

And there's some questions about his ability offensively.

Everybody doesn't doubt the defense, but... is he going to develop enough to actually reach the major leagues as a hitter? I feel like the white socks need another, at least a great first half offensively that Billy Carlson can address those issues.

I don't know how many teams or what other teams think of Jaden Foskey, but if it's not Caleb Bonham, or I feel like Jaden Foskey is the most tradable prospect the white socks have, but I just don't see like netting a big return from, with Jaden Foskey.

Well, the other one to think about really quick is take Billy Carlson, for example, a guy that gets drafted in the first round and for the first, what, 12 to 18 months, everyone goes, you got to hang on to this guy.

You got to hang out with this guy.

You got to hang out with this guy.

And as baseball, which makes it different, the prospect hugging and whatnot, you begin to realize that maybe he's a little bit more expendable or at least you begin to draft at that position with a redundancy where you can begin to part with him.

I think maybe that's a little bit of a different – You know, a couple years ago, if they had a deal in front of them to trade Billy Carlson, F them picks.

Well, I know it would have been fine to trade Billy Carlson.

So if he, you know, wasn't getting a David Peterson, Clay Holmes, or Kevin Gosman, et cetera, you know, a Jose Soriano player like that because he couldn't trade Billy Carlson, well, then we'll have a different conversation.

Now, some of the things that happened in that draft and the front office kind of stepping in and going with the college guy.

And then you, you know, you went over slot with some prep guys, um, Um, you know, Hagan Smith, I think what was next, you know, and then we've had like the next two drafts of Billy Carlson, Rakshalowski.

So, you know, four shortstops, three left-handed pitchers, like during the tenure of Mike Shirley, I do think he helped, you know, pull them together.

you know not really out of the stone ages because i i don't think that's like fair to nick hostetler but a lot more high school players a lot more shifting money around that sort of thing it's going to be interesting to talk to joe to see how much more like we might see on that front because the brewers as we were talking about off stream draft way different than everybody else like just in general

i'm just gonna keep saying things to dig holes don't be surprised if it's like colson montgomery like he is one of those guys in this organization that just doesn't seem to fit what everyone else is doing and if i thought colson montgomery was going to be an absolute star defensive shortstop at any point you know i would say it out front you don't trade that but you got rock chelowski who might be available to the team in 2027 Maybe like I'm not definitely certainly not putting that on him.

But you've got guys on this roster that have played some shortstop through the minor league system.

You've got guys like Billy Carlson, who's a long ways away.

There's just a lot of shortstops in this organization.

Number three is I don't feel

really good about Billy Carlson being here.

It's a lousy season last year.

I was concerned when they drafted him, how much power he was going to have.

And we just didn't see that.
