Billy Bowman Jr.

We told you, and hopefully you've been paying attention to us, that Christian Harris was not one of the top three linebackers.

In fact, he was inactive for the game, as was Billy Bowman.

Devon Diablo played 100% of the snaps, and as we called out, and as happened during this game, Kendall Daniels, 66% of the snaps, Howard Perkins, 35%.

So they were in a platoon.

And I think it kind of is a little bit of foreshadowing about.

We've said, do they want to take him to the outside? And is he going to be playing in Mike Hughes' spot a little bit more? Do they really want to do this pitch count? We're going to swap him and Bowman and Brown out as much as possible.

I think Sidney Brown, we haven't even talked about Billy Bowman's potential return for this week or maybe week three, but I think Sidney Brown is kind of forcing this decision on the staff at this point to where it's kind of like he's – too good in this role for us to really justify keeping avian in that spot when we're worried about you know how is the run defense going to look with him in there at nickel and so it almost is kind of i think going to naturally push avian back outside i think that we'll see sydney brown and billy bowman actually end up being the two guys that are more interchangeable at the nickel spot and then i think we will see uh the younger terrell take over as the outside corner.

And, you know, it's obviously a lot to take away from just this game, but I think you also did.

I think you also noted, you know, the Panthers are a team where maybe you don't want Sidney Brown in the slot all game against Jalen Coker.

Yeah, that's going to be a fascinating one to monitor.

I think you're right.

I mean, we saw the Falcons basically split Avian's reps, like, all summer, and I think they probably were doing that more because of Billy Bowman's status than because they actually want Avian to be the slot.

I'm really interested to see what happens.

Billy Bowman, cornerback for the Falcons, is also listed as out.

He had been showing that status pretty much all throughout the week of practice.

Outside linebacker or defensive end, however you want to look at it, Z'Darrius Smith, who is going to be filling in for both of those starting outside linebacker edge rushers that the Falcons are no longer without, one having an ACL and one getting suspended for the first eight games.

They've got a really good pair of safeties with Jesse Bates and Xavier Watts.

They've got slot corner Billy Bowman coming back from injury.

And, um, yeah, I, I have been kind of skeptical about Marvin Harrison Jr. taking things to another level after the disappointing start to his career, but I've at least a little bit of hope that things are gonna look a little different for him in Mike LaFleur's offense.

So I would play Marvin Harrison Jr.

A couple other notes on the injury front.

Billy Bowman Jr. might be one real injury situation to watch.

He was limited as he works back from his Achilles injury suffered last year, so we'll see what his status is.

He could potentially be in the slot, if not in maybe the first round or the second round rookie, I should say, Avion.
