Bills, Bills, Bills

the songs.

Okay, so from the Writings on the Wall, which that album went platinum in my bedroom, okay? Bills, Bills, Bills-

[laughs]

...

Singing that on the recess.

[laughs]

I remember too, Destiny's Child, Bills, Bills, Bills, I remember them being in the hair salon.

The, I just have like a specific memory of that music video of them.

No Scrubs, TLC.

A Bills, Bills, Bills.

Destiny's Child, and a ton other artists she has written for.

But she has turned this moment of reality television into nearly a lifetime of work, and it's now leading her to produce shows on Broadway.

Welcome to Engagement Party.

I'm Adi Kordish, and I'm talking today with a one Miss Candy Burris.

Now, if you don't know Candy, you are wrong because you have probably heard one of her like incredible chart toppers in the 90s, bills, bills, bills or no scrubs.

She was in Xscape.

Okay.

And where people are drawing the comparison when they wrote bills, bills, bills with no scrubs, kind of a similar sound.

And basically this whole album is built around a concept that I can't imagine anybody thinking is a good idea.

It bothered me when I listened to the album, but whatever.

Aaron, nice job.

Brilliant.

Now, Aaron, you know, I love the song Bills, Bills, Bills.

You know why?

Yeah.

Bills, bills, bills.

Harmonimix mix.

Um, this is James Blake when he's doing other things in another name.

I found this song like, when I was, like, 16.

It's a banger, innit? Basically, yeah, I was listening to Angel in Disguise, and I was thinking about how incredible Darkchild was, and then I started thinking about The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills because of Yolanda, but that's a separate story.

Um, and I was like, "If Yolanda was gonna listen to any song, would she like Bills, Bills, Bills?" And then I remembered about this version, so I started listening to it again.

Listened to it about 12 times this da- like, today already.

JMore.

Bills, Bills, Bills.

There we go.

Oh.
