And I remember popping over to his place actually to hang one of my paintings, and he was so fussy about the positioning of the frame.

He was only satisfied when the late Bill McLaren popped in and said, "It's high enough, long enough-"

As I say, people tend to forget a couple of things that happened in that game, including the fact that Bruce Hager down the other end was 102 not out.

But always remember too about this, this withering comment made by, and we talk about great commentators and you had the great Bill McLaren there.

The greatest of all cricket commentators, Richie Beno, had this to say.

Like, I learned a, a really big lesson from this.

And then my mother was from Hawick in the Borders.

And she... was a friend of the late, great Bill McLaren.

Right.

They were similar ages, and my mum was a gym teacher, and hence she knew Bill, who was also a gym teacher.
