It's been a wildly successful company.

A man named Bill Jordan, um, I've met him.

He played there, and he said, "You know, the whole thing, the reason people were so mad," he said, "They would still be mad." But he said, you know, he, he didn't just say, "Hey, thanks.

I'm leaving." And he said it was just kind of the way everything went down, which was-

And so, uh, That's what I did, and I ended up getting where I would call in turkey competitions and started winning pretty good, and I had a chance to team up with a friend of mine named Ricky Joe Bishop, and they had a two-man team world championship.

They had a two-man team grand national championship, and we had a chance to win those competitions a couple of times, and then I had a chance to win the Grand America Turkey Calling Championship, and so from there, I had a chance to start meeting people like Bill Jordan, who owned Realtree Camouflage, and I started guiding for him and started meeting all kind of cool people from celebrities to just people within this hunting space that were businessmen and had product out there.

And it just started realizing to me then that, wow, this is such a cool place to be in and a cool industry to be in.

Well, and going back to that diaphragm turkey call, it's kind of a, I guess you would say it's almost a semicircle with a flat edge on the back where those reeds are, or those cuts are, and it fits in the roof of your mouth.

You would have been on the cover of every wrestling magazine and outdoor live.

So you hook up with Bill Jordan, and then you start getting on the TV shows.

Were you just guided at first? Because, I mean, you're kind of a jack-of-all-trades.

It seems like Vintage Camo has... exploded over the last few years why do you think people our age or even people who weren't alive when some of the stuff was made are so drawn to those old patterns

first time i talked to um i had a discussion with bill jordan um he he was obviously the old patterns came up and uh we because what other reason does bill jordan

have to talk to me you

know right and uh we're talking about it and he uh he said well logan i'm a bit of a perfectionist and i look at uh i look at some pattern that i did before you were even born and uh he said you know when you were a kid and you brought your little coloring page or whatever from art class in school home and your mom loved it and she put it on the fridge said yes sir he said and then it stays up there too long and two years later three years later your friends come over and make fun of you for being so you know for being such a bad artist i said yeah he said well that's how i look at mobile camera patterns he said i just knew i could do better i always wanted to do better and i did better and uh so i don't want to go back to something that's a inferior version of what I can do.

Cause that you take a Mossy Oak and you take a real tree and there's so many juxtapositions between those two brands.

I mean, obviously the two biggest, especially in the South.

And, um, You look at Bill Jordan, he's an Ole Miss boy.

Then you look at Toxie Hayes, he's a Mississippi State guy.

He got a break with Realtree.

Um, Bill Jordan gave him a little segment on his Realtree show.

Mm-hmm.

And he had, like, a, I think, I think it was, like, an at home video segment.

And I was, I was trying to get my foot in door in the industry and, and learn the ropes of, of hunting and film or not hunting, but filming and TV.

And, it was something that you know I'd grown up watching guys like you and Bill Jordan and a lot of the guys since I was you know old enough to walk and but I didn't I didn't really know how to how to go about it you know and so I'd bought a camera and I'd started filming and just you know buddies and my dad and whoever I could get to tag along with me and I did that for a couple years and You know, we were we started with Whitetail Freaks, with Don and Candy Kiske and Lee and Tiffany.

I started filming a lot with those guys and I was doing that all the way through college.

But it kind of when you get ready to get out of college, it's like, all right, well, I guess I'm going to have to adult now, you know.
