According to their testimony, personnel at the naval base took the incident very seriously, conducted extensive interviews, and allegedly told them that other witnesses had reported the object and that something had been detected on radar.

And ultimately, theories from this case have ranged from a genuine encounter to once again criticizing this whole thing as being a product of hypnotic regression and false memories.

Why aren't those countries disclosing? And to your point, Australia really has a treasure trove of, of historical documents.

Many of them are now available within the National Archives of Australia, and that's largely in part due to the, the efforts of the likes of Bill Chalker.

Bill Chalker was invited, who you've had on your show.

He was, he was asked to do, or he did an appraisal of the Royal Australian Air Force, the Director of Air Force Intelligence's UFO files, 'cause they had no idea what was in their files, and he found an absolute treasure trove of his- historical documents pertaining to the UFO subject.

And if it wasn't for Bill, who really pointed out that these documents are of significant value to the scientific and the research community and they should be preserved, if it wasn't for his recommendations, you probably would find that a lot of the historical documents that were in the holdings of the Royal Australian Air Force would have been destroyed, and they would not-
