Bill Camp

The story.

A group of kids bond when a mechanic, played by Bill Camp, lets them hang out in the back room and play with cars.

One shy boy has a crush on an adorable girl, but he's too shy to ask her out.

Cut to 30 years later, and he's channeled his frustration into becoming a Jason Bourne-like CIA assassin.

I read, I rewound and I watched it again.

And this is what she says.

This is referring to the character played by Bill Camp.

He is Smalley.

... where they all hung out passes away.

Bill Camp, great actor, love him.

Um, he passes away.

They come back, and turns out, uh, or then, then they haven't seen him, they all start talking.

As that's, it was walking product placement in this movie, Ted.

Yes.

There was, uh, Bill Camp.

Those are the main people in this movie.

I did a crime film with Pete Davidson called Tommy Karate.

I did a dark comedy crime film called Turpentine with Melissa McCarthy and Bill Camp.

Like, a lot of, lot of cool things that kind of are genre agnostic if you look at the resume.

It's just very all over the place.

You've got Corey Stoll popping up for 10 minutes.

Criminally, you have fucking Bill Camp in it for one minute, which I think is a goddamn crime to bring Bill Camp in and put him in for one minute.

And one of those minutes, he's lying face down on his desk.

LAUGHTER this is true

Corey Stoll, two scenes.

Bill Camp, one scene.

I like seeing Christopher Hivju, but again, not much here.

No.

It has a bunch of pretty A-list talent.

John Cena starring in it, Jessica Biel, Sam Richardson, Teyana Perez, Arturo Castro, Corey Stoll, Bill Camp, Danai Gurira.

Like, these are all actors who I hope got paid well.

and have paid off some sort of debts or perhaps owed some sort of favors because I cannot imagine another reason for doing this film having seen it now and knowing that they would have gotten the script as in some form.

Sam Richardson in particular is one of those performers who makes every ensemble funnier just by being in it, so seeing him in this kind of buddy adventure set up felt like exactly the right call.

Then around that core group, the film rounds things out with some serious talent, Danai Gurira, Corey Stoll, Bill Camp and Gulshifte Farahani.

That's a deep bench for an action comedy, and it tells you Apple and Skydance weren't treating this as a throwaway brand exercise.

Visually, the movie goes big.

In thumbs for trailers, of course, you can find all the trailers I'm about to talk about in the show notes below.

Kicking things off, we've got Nocturne, created by Rowan Joffe, starring Liev Schreiber, Zazie Beetz, Stephen Graham, Bill Camp, Rory Culkin, Chrissy Metz, and Gary Carr.

When a victim of notorious serial killer Jurek Walter unexpectedly turns up alive, Detective Jonah Lynn races against time to find the one person still missing, while his protege, Saga Bauer, goes undercover to get answers from the killer himself.

Dylan, what did you think of the trailer for the latest Apple TV series?
