Bill Ayers

I mean, I, I think besides me and maybe a couple of others, there were very few people when Barack Obama was running for president, Barack Hussein Obama, we affectionately refer to him, nobody did a deep dive into his relationship with the Reverend Jeremiah Wright.

You know, Mr. Go- Mr. GD America the Sunday after 9/11, uh, or his relationship with former Weather Underground members, uh, Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn.

Uh, the very day, September 11th, '01, that morning before the attack occurred, you know, he was saying he wished the Weather Underground had done more.

Uh, or what ACORN O- Organizing is, or his love of Saul Alinsky and what an Alinskyite is, uh, or Frank Marshall Davis, or his younger days in the Choom Gang.

[instrumental music] You know, I, um, i-in revisiting, uh, Barack Obama as you did, I'm just reminded there's, th-that we have this dichotomy with these two presidents, Obama and Trump, where Obama has this, like, no-drama Obama calm, slow tone.

But then you just, but then you, he launches this campaign out of Bill Ayers, who's a terrorist, and you s- you c- it, it takes two seconds to find him celebrating Derrick Bell, Mr.

Critical Race Theory.

Like, this was deeply, deeply fringe radical ideology, but with a calm, cool tone.

There was no real vetting.

You know, with the exception of this show, you know, we're the ones that spend time looking into what a community organizer is and what Acorn is and who Saul Alinsky is and the Chum Gang and Reverend Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dorn.

We we did deep dives and nobody wanted to pay attention to it.

But it did annoy the hell out of Obama because he kept attacking me by name and did not like me very much.

And, um, you know, all of those things added up in the Weathermen's mind to mean that, that they were part of this international movement that was going to bring about the, the, the demise of the United States and the overthrow of the government, and they saw themselves as being inside the, the United States and in a position of being able to do damage internally that would, you know, bring-- subvert the, the, the country and bring us down.

So when you're sitting there then, and we come forward today, Larry, did you ever believe that sitting in the room as you were right then when you, you said you were hearing Bill Ayers and his friends talk about overthrowing America, having a communist revolution, re-educating a hundred million people, did you ever believe that Bill Ayers would later become friends with the President of the United States and be writing the social justice curriculum, which is based on Karl Marx socialism, communism, neo-Marxism? Did you ever believe that this man would ri-rise to this level in education, uh, organizations and be friends with the President of the United States?

Absolutely not.

[laughs] Only if it was in jail.
