Big Thunder Ranch

1979, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad opens and suddenly Frontierland isn't just a quiet stroll anymore, it's got a genuine thrill ride.

1986 brought Big Thunder Ranch with the petting zoo and all that Western charm.

Ah, I wish they still had that.

I want to go snuggle some babies at Disneyland.

1992 Fantasmic! debuts and that completely reshapes the south end of Tom Sawyer Island into a nighttime show stage.

2007, Tom Sawyer Island gets a pirate makeover and becomes Pirate's Lair.

And then 2016 into 2017 a big chunk of that land gets reshaped for Star Wars Galaxy's Edge and we sadly lose Big Thunder Ranch for good.
