And going back to that question, that is absolutely a fair point to bring up, is that if Ohio State and Michigan were to go to independent, well, the Big Ten should be like, oh, so we don't get any of your football money? Like the ACC does with Notre Dame, which don't get me started on that, but we don't get any of your football money or your football revenue, but you still want to play in the Big Ten Basketball Championship and you want to play in the Big Ten Soccer Championship? No.

Go find your own people to play.

Florida State might need somebody.

They never lost consecutive games.

And even though they lost to Penn State in the Big Ten tournament, people knew it didn't matter.

They ended up as a four seed in the tournament.

But the previous year, they had to win that extra game in the Big Ten tournament to even get into the play-in game.

in in 2024 they lose what one two three four five six seven eight of ten and then have to desperately win their last four just to be in a position where they're kind of remotely on the bubble they probably weren't actually going to make it but just just to feel like they were going to be in a potential area of inclusion same thing happened in 25 in woodson's last season and then last year People forget, like, Indiana was an 8-6 in conference.

They were 17-8 on the 9th of February.

That was a great offseason, and that team, to your point, I mean, it started the season 10-3, didn't have any good wins in the non-con, and then it had that trend where it had the loss to 7-9.

At one point, it was 14-13, 6-10 in the Big Ten.

Purdue, back to the Sweet 16 again.

They win the Big Ten Tournament Championship.

They just ran into Arizona.

I mean, it's the Big Ten.

It's going to be something weird.

I think by the time we get to the tournament, I'm going to take Michigan and their elite backcourt by the time we get to tournament play to win the Big Ten tournament.

What are we thinking? What's the results? Seth, Michigan's seed in the NCAA tournament and placement in the Big Ten regular season.

Uh, let's do third seed in the Big Ten tournament, 25 wins for the season, and a four seed or three seed, kinda in that line there.

I think they're gonna get better as they go along, because I believe that Reed's gonna come in and give them, like, just another option that they can go to, and another senior, I guess, who can, you know, take them through the end of the season there.

And you have one le- week left in the regular season, like, what do you do? Those two moments, that kid making those two huge plays like just spurred everything, right? And, uh, we went on a great run in the Big Ten Tournament and, and won a game in the NCAA Tournament.

Maybe it's more I'm looking at some teams that are predicted outside of the top eight that are gonna finish in the top eight, but probably in that five through eight range.

It's gonna be a really fun season of Big Ten basketball.

I don't know if there's gonna be that elite team, and it's gonna be hard to match the elite team that we saw from last year because Michigan last year, national champs from, well, really this year, but last season, the Michigan, that Michigan men's basketball team was an all-time team.

An all-time team.
