it also has to help sharpen your creativity, right? Because you can't just go back into your lore of like what was.

And it's actually a great transition to now talk about Big Modern, the album, right? Because before you had this huge catalog, you had to learn all this shit.

Now you're a driving fact for some of these things.

Was there a difference between the songs that you had to learn like pre-Cotter to now these Big Modern stuff that you were actually helped, able to create and push that flow to? Oh, for sure.

Yeah.

I mean, it was definitely a trip coming into a band that was successful before I was in the band and wanting to do their sound that they had established justice while also like infusing my own voice into it and so like you know that took a little while to get really comfy doing and then like that being said these guys are so supportive of me doing my thing on everything that like when we record a dragon It was pretty short.

Some of them didn't feel super natural for me to go in and play them like they were, like, those parts.

So, like, a tune like Rockdale or...

yeah oh my god and yeah that uh pantala and the pig transition was perfect they nailed it um but yes all this stuff man we finally finally got it and that completed the busted stuff album for both of us oh felt good we've been missing this song by like one show so many times um since it got brought back in the last few years So we got it.

Jeff was great.

Only the second one of the tour as well.

And those are also awesome.

And, um, another everyday song and and really cool we've kind of pumped up the everyday album this year uh just as it has had its 25th anniversary and and how fitting for our end of 2026 dmb to be what you are on this podcast i mean i don't think we'll be hitting any other shows you never know knock on wood hopefully who knows what will happen but As of right now, we don't have any scheduled.

So maybe it was an everyday song that ended up our 2026 DMV year, which is I mean, I'm OK with.

We heard the new Phoebe Bridgers, a song from the new Phoebe Bridgers album, Lost Weekend.

That song was called Lost Boys.

It just came out a couple of days, like three days ago.

I mean, one of my faves of the current era.

And I recommend her highly if you are not familiar with her.

Her new album, Lost Weekend, and her music all together.
