Big Brother

As a kid, you know, I used to consume skateboarding magazines voraciously.

Um, you know, magazines like Big Brother, where, where Jackass sort of evolved from, and I loved the, like, super kind of irreverent tone of that, um, down to your more kind of formal ones like, um, you know, uh, the, the Skateboard Mag as a kid, I remember growing up and, and, and, and things like that.

Um, Sidewalk also maybe.

Maybe that was a little bit more, again, irreverent.

You know, skateboarding, it's always about having fun, and I think that's a real influence on, on, on, on, on what we wanna do with the mag, you know.

I always remember there was a great art...

You know, there was a, a famous, uh, around like early 2000s, there was like a monkey who could drop in on a vert ramp, and I remember Big Brother published an interview with this, with this monkey, and it was like, "Oh, so what do you love about skateboarding?" And it would just be like, "Uh, uh, ah, ah," sort of thing.

Yeah, and back then as well, you know, we had sort of, I used to read Big Brother magazine.

Do you remember that?

Yeah, yeah, of course.

magazine, Christ, the stuff they used to print.
