Big Bear Valley

Now, if not everybody has been abreast of everything in this series that we've run, let me just catch you up to speed here just for a couple of minutes.

There was a couple of eagles, and they're very famous across country because there was a camera stuck up in a tree near their nest at such an early stage where Shadow and Jackie, two eagles in the Big Bear Valley, were mates and had eaglets and had a life and would play with the sticks in the nest and would stoop on a tree nearby and would fly around and then they would feed their eaglets.

And people watch this stuff.

I mean, it shouldn't surprise you anymore.

And then Jackie fell ill.

And Jackie was with veterinarians and at raptor centers and worked over and over and over on to try to revive her back to her best health.

So that way they could reunite her back into the Big Bear Valley with Shadow.

The love story could continue and these two birds would be happily ever after.

In the L.A. mayor's race, the candidates split over housing.

And later, we go to Big Bear Valley where fans have gathered this weekend to remember Jackie the bald eagle.

It's heartwarming to know that she had such an effect on so many people.

It's Sunday, October 4th.

But now that Jackie's gone, is there a new gal in the villa? Is someone new moving in on Jackie's turf? Find out now on this episode of As the Valley Turns.

Yes, I haven't spent time with my folks of late, so I don't know what the latest is in Big Bear Valley with the Eagles.

Jackie Shadow, they were a long love story until Jackie bit the dust.

And now there is a new gal that has emerged, Katie, a young gal who I think the last time we gave an update, her and Shadow were sharing a similar branch on the stooping tree.

It's big time animal news there.

In this story, though, this is in Colorado, not in Big Bear Valley, California.

And it's not eagles, it's tarantulas.

But it is a love story, and it's something that I feel as if Christian needs to take notes.
