Big Barda

I think Orion's cool.

I think Mister Miracle and B- uh, Big Barda are cool.

Yeah.

But then when you start getting into All-Father and, like, all that bullshit, I don't care.

...

Dark Side, you've got Superman on here, you've got Big Barda, you've got Orion, Mr.

Miracle is here.

Uh, what was the, the thought process for, for the cover itself? Like, was there a lot of direction given to you, or were you kinda given free rein?

Clara Fork, who plays the reporter, reports on the bank heist.

played Mason Drake in four episodes of Lois and Barton, New Adventures of Superman, and voiced Big Barda in an episode of Justice League Unlimited.

Thomas Rosales Jr. played a thug in an episode of Lois and Barton, New Adventures of Superman.

You can tell this was shot in and around LA.

Yeah.

but Darkseid had captured Barda and Scott who were there to free people from Armageddon and Metron comes and is like Darkseid they did not do this and he's like F it we're going to have a war And the war is more what a lot of the Fourth World stuff is what Another Nail is about.

I

was going to say, because it was like you don't really see much of it in this series, at least.

A storm is caused by it.

The Kents roll up with their folks that are hiding out at their farm and Jimmy starts turning bizarro and crumbles to dust in Clark's hands.

And when that happens, the barrier around Earth falls and the Green Lanterns immediately join there and Clark goes to his family and is just devastated but at that same time the Kents come up to him and that's where they get involved and the last page is really a double page spread of all the heroes that were captured flying into this scene along with I will note Barda and Scott in the background and Metron But it's reminiscent of the scene where in Death of Superman with Boas leaning over Superman, it's him doing that over his parents with the Kents holding him.

So one thing that I'm going to say, like great page, great page.

I'm gonna leave some adjectives out, but that's a, that's an area DC decided to go to that Marvel was like, "No, we're good." Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Uh, Big Barda.

That's cute artwork, that.

Oh, it's recent as well, March 2025 issue.

The characters are upside down.

Mr.

Miracle and Big Barda.

Let's turn that.

We have Batman and Mr.

Miracle here being frozen by Big Barda and Oberon here, right? Yep,

yep.

Oberon is one of those underrated little characters.

But we see right away, we know what's going on here, right? The person that's being dropped off of there is our buddy, Mr.

Miracle, doing one of his escape routines, right?

And Big Barda is successfully holding Batman back.

Mm-hmm.

We see Orion.

I think is that Barter? Yeah, I see Barter back there.

Barta, you got Mr.

Miracle.

And he's just got this kind of gold and red costume.

Also, he's married to Big Barda, who is famously modeled on Jack Kirby's wife.

um and it's big like it's my wife's big barda

oh yeah

that's mr miracle and do we have a big yeah there's ram v's new gods run which is i think still going or maybe just recently wrapped very good quite enjoying that as well um we need to we
