We do a bit of a catch up on also what Faith and Val were talking about last week with Alison from Bicycle Network.

Coming up is a range of forums to do with the Gimme Five campaign, but also our chat, because it's Yarra, kind of turned into what the hell is our local council doing? And I couldn't help but bring up the fact that I think it's page 132 of the agenda for tomorrow night's meeting at Yarra Council.

It's doing away with the transport action plan.

Hey Chris, thanks for having me back on the show.

Great to be here with you.

We are running a campaign as 30 community grassroots organizations, bicycle user groups and bicycle network to call on the state government to fund our strategic cycling corridors.

So we're asking for 5% of the transport budget to be allocated to safer streets.

I met a heap of people down at Morty.

I was down there at Bicycle Network.

A heap of avid listeners who are doing Around the Bay and have used the code.

So that was fantastic.

Or when you bring people on board, the language matters and talking about freedom and autonomy for children, healthy environments and safe streets is It means a lot more to people than urban planning bingo terms, which concludes talking about bikes.

And it was interesting to make that point at Bicycle Network, even though they're obviously receptive to it.

And we should be looking beyond bike and transport people to build coalitions of people who care about health, children's autonomy, the environment.

as everything is connected.

If we really want the transformation...

All come tomorrow to the lecture of Bicycle Network.

But also, we all need to help politicians to see this by also bringing in radical voices.

So it's so great that there's grassroots movements, that people are going out to be the radicals, because otherwise the moderate voices in politics are considered to be radicals.

Excellent.
