Tomorrow all day is the big open-air Rosh Hashanah party at the Tel Aviv Port, which is a good way maybe to burn off whatever hangover you may have left from the night before, before showing up at 6 in the evening with the start of Rosh Hashanah at the LGBTQ Center in Meir Park for the queer community's quote-unquote holiday table, a free dinner planned with care, as the organizers say, so that everyone will have a place to celebrate the new year with someone, which is also the idea behind Tribe Tel Aviv's evening of intimate holiday dinners for anyone who wants to take part, which dinners will happen in the private homes of dozens of people who volunteer to host groups of 10 to 15 mostly young folk, which groups of young folks will afterwards gather for a mass dessert-athon on a rooftop somewhere downtown.

On the following day, Rosh Hashanah itself, if shul ain't your thing, then you can go on a quote-unquote birdwatching by boat tour, that is shatim in tziporim in the original Hebrew, making your way down the river with a guide to all things ornithological, because what symbolizes the changing of the seasons better than the peregrinations and migrations of birds? On Sunday afternoon, a shofar will be blown at each of 80 spots around the city, as for instance, at Rabin Square and Habima Square at five in the evening, at Bialik Square at five thirty, and Gan Meir at six thirty.

Also, on Sunday evening, you can join the wonderful congregation Beit Filah Israeli for a musical Tashlich casting off of sins into the sea once again, and shofar blowing at the port, meeting at the merry-go-round at five thirty.
