Bethlehem University

It is an absolute joy and a privilege to have with us once again Dr. Mazen Qumsiyeh.

Mazen is a Palestinian activist, a scientist, and a professor at Bethlehem University in Palestine, in the land where Jesus Christ was born.

May Je- where Jesus was bo- born.

May, may peace and blessings be upon him.

And so because I lived in America, and America taught me a lot, and also I spent some time in Israel too.

I went to school at Bethlehem University in West Bank, and I went to Hebrew University in Jerusalem for summer.

And then, you know, it's so, so that kind of experience, it really taught me well.

And then, so yes, as you say that it's, it's a life, my lifetime kind of quest sort of.

I'm your host, Dr. Raj Balfour.

I'm more importantly, I have the pleasure today of welcoming to the podcast, Dr. Carleen McLean, who is Professor of Religious Studies at Bethlehem University.

We're diving into a brand new Columbia University Press publication, Living with Gandhi, Experiments in Utopia.

Carleen, it's such a pleasure to have you on the podcast.
