She currently serves on the Practice and Standards Committee for MNHPC and as a consultant for the Minnesota State Board of Nursing.

Carrie began her career as a nursing assistant, returning to school at the College of St. Catharines to obtain her LPN, ADN, BSN degrees, and eventually her MA in nursing education at Bethel University.

You could say she enjoys learning and expanding her knowledge as a lifelong learner.

In addition, Carrie is committed to mentoring others in nursing and end-of-life care to improve collaboration and impact quality care delivery.

Every year here at Hope, our staff, the pastors and directors, we do an annual retreat in the summer.

Uh, we usually go to Bethel University.

They're gracious enough to give us a space for free.

And so we go in there on a Friday afternoon, and we do some dreaming and planning, and then we go eat dinner together, and we sleep on it.

He wanted me to go out.

Um, and I went to the Twin Cities, uh, to Bethel University to college, and I missed the place.

I missed the places that we fished and hunted, and I, and I, I came to understand, like, wait a minute, those are the things that have really shaped me, um, that y- yeah, I, I, I didn't realize at the time, um, how, how important they were to my sense of identity and place.

Um, uh-

He, he coaches in Nashville.

He was up in Bethel University up in the cities.

Um, the Minnesota guys absolutely love him.

They're, they're like, he's kind of like their Dick Bennett of offense up in Minnesota.
