Beth Elliott

Mm-hmm.

And then there was another case of a big lesbian convention where, you know, you've got these photos and, and Finn Enke points out, if you look at the photo, there's a, a woman named Beth Elliott, who was a trans woman-

Mm-hmm

... who's got a guitar.

Like Rachel Pollack in London, uh, left London because of essentially what we would now call TERFs, a kind of, um, uh, exclu- trans exclusionary feminism, um, from the women's movement.

And Beth Elliott was also thrown out of, deplatformed at a lesbian conference in the States, and this was also around the same period of, um, Sylvia Rivera's "Y'all better quiet down" speech where she was deplatformed at Gay Pride and left the movement.

Who's Beth Elliott, just for the records?

Uh, Beth Elliott was a trans lesbian activist and folk singer.

Um, and in terms of that erasure, that is the movement literally pushing and kicking people out.

Um, so it's then very hard for that person to be documented or to be there.
