You know, like the horror books of the 90s were a little different, you know, like the horror, like different different strokes for different folks type vibe.

But it was that thing of like, I remember reading and just staring at Bernie Wrightson's artwork and just going, oh, my God, my ultimate

favorite.

Oh, dude, if you can create an emotion by looking at a hand, like props.

Bernie Wrightson's Frankenstein, one of my all-time favorites.

Oh, that still picture of him.

Yeah, that whole when he's laying on the Frankenstein.

The Frazettas, the Leyendeckers, the, the, the, the N.C. Wyeths, the, the Banksys, okay? Uh, Norman Rockwell.

But we all agreed if there was one piece that we wanted to walk out with under our arm, okay? Like Bernie Wrightson famously created these "Frankenstein" portfolio p- pieces back again when I was a kid.

I, I wanna say '78, '79, '80.

And this is considered the premier of all the plates.

And of course, no one less than Mr. George Lucas, Mr. "Star Wars," uh, possesses the single most celebrated piece of Bernie Wrightson artwork.

So again, I understand that Rob, hold my beer.

Um, you can cry about Watchmen, and you can cry about Dark Knight, and you can cry about all these other things, but, but George is literally, he's pantsing all of us, and, and he is.

[laughs] This, this, th-th-- again, I'm reminded when I look at the Frazettas and I look at the Bernie Wrightsons, I'm like, "Shut your yap." But considering how important, uh, certain artists are, like, and if you're gonna have a Captain America piece, this is the one to have, right, kids? It, it, it, it, it, it's, it's amazing.

This was the follow-up to Bad Out of Hell.

It was written entirely by Jim Steinem, and it had a horror comic cover that was illustrated by Bernie Wrightson.

Hit number one in the UK, number 45 in America.

It had Dead Ringer for Love, which had Cher on it, and Read Em and Weep.

He has this surprised look on his face like, you know, wait a minute, what? And.

I do love the panel there that has our credits as far as the creators of the Swamp Thing here, Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson.

That's a really cool panel, isn't it?

Yeah, it's built above the controls like the manufacturing of this panel itself or something.

And it's pretty cool that it says Swamp Thing on the bottom there on the ground, right?

Yeah, very classic Bernie Wrights and stuff there.

And that's where they put the created by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson, just next to that.

And again, Liz and Dennis are getting the living crap choked out of them.

Yeah.

Swamp Thing number 1 gets a facsimile, the Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson era of Swamp Thing, and they're doing all of Watchmen in facsimiles, so we're up to the second issue by the writer, I mean Alan Moore, uh, and art and cover by Dave Gibbons there on page 44/252.
