Bernie Sanders presidential campaign, 2020

There's brick by brick by brick.

And Bernie 2016, Bernie 2020, you worked on Bernie's campaign and a lot of other progressive campaigns that didn't win.

But I don't personally think the Abduls and the Zorans, a lot of those policies, I don't know if they would have been... competitive without Bernie and that movement kind of moving that Overton window.

Your thoughts as like a veteran of the Bernie movement.

You know him as the founder of The Lever, one of the most important left news sources that are out there doing original reporting.

And also, we go back to the days of the Bernie 2020 campaign when Sirota was Bernie's speechwriter and I was the national press secretary.

It feels like a whole different life from the one we're living today, huh, Sirota?

It does.

In 2020, I was talking a lot with filmmakers.

In the heady days of the, you know, of Bernie 2020, we're like, "Oh, we need a Green New Deal for art.

We need a Green New Deal for documentary," blah, blah, blah.

That is in the distant rearview mirror now, right? And, like, what little we had is, is in shambles, as you were saying, Yael.
