When I work with these communities, you'll have someone with Make America Great Again bumper sticker and a Bernie bro bumper sticker who will park right next to each other and lock arms and say, not today, not us, not here.

So there is something inspiring in all of this.

It just sucks that it has to be to this level of shittiness that we get to this point.

And yet, because of the big money and politics problems that everyone understands exist, this is continuing to go on.

And I think people have just, they're just sick of it.

And that's why when I work with these communities, you'll have someone with a Make America Great Again bumper sticker and a Bernie Bro bumper sticker who will park right next to each other and lock arms and say, not today, not us, not here.

So there is something inspiring in all of this.

Now I'm not only a Democrat, but I'm, I'm in the Bernie Sanders, Ro Khanna wing, right? So, you know, back in the day when we were probably the top media company backing Bernie Sanders, almost certainly back in 2016 and 2020, we get known as the Bernie Bros guys, right? So how did I go from Republican to Bernie Bro, let alone all the other transitions? So y- what you're sensing there is what, of course, everybody around me sensed.

So my friends used to joke around how I was a waffler, right? So now as a grownup looking back at it with the benefit of hindsight, I see what happened.

So what happened is you start out with your software, what you've been taught, and you begin the, your journey there.

They don't represent the Democratic voters.

And the first opportunity we get, we should topple them and put in real Democrats in those positions.

And now even old H- like, the Hillary Clinton voters, the moms who were so against the Bernie bros, they have now flipped, and they're like, "You guys are right.

No, Schumer's not doing a goddamn thing.

[laughs] It's, it's v- it's very true.

I mean, I, my, I, I will say when my wife and I s- first started dating, I was conservative and she was Bernie Bro liberal, and, um, we would not have lasted if we remained on those ideological playing fields.

My question, I'm wondering if you can talk to us about the Bernie Bros stereotype.

Where did it come from? Yeah, where did it come from? How damaging was it to his campaign? And what did you try and do to fight it?

Well, I think it came from the online world, where there's a lot of stuff going on.

They put together campaigns to go out and smear the other side.

And to do that, you need a term that people will remember.

So Bernie Bros is great
