But also too, different species of fish have different tolerances.

And if you go down to Bennett Springs State Park, if you catch a fish and you use a net to take it out of the water, You are required to keep that fish because they are so susceptible

to infection.

And they actually have undercover rangers out there in the water fishing, watching for people to do illegal things like that.

Stayed there for several years, and then I went to work for the state park system.

I was, uh, chief naturalist at Bennett Spring State Park for a while, and I've continued to fly fish, you know, everywhere from Alaskan Canada to the Yucatan, and absolutely love it.

But in the last few years here, I've been dealing with a number of young outfitters who particularly come to the Meramec and, and my region here in South Central Missouri, and I have discovered that [laughs] these young men are super, super sharp, and I have learned so much from them that otherwise I'd have probably never figured out or would've taken me light years to figure out.

And it's just been, you know, so inspiring and, and very educational for me just to hook up with these guys.

I wasn't an outdoorsman.
