Code Pink, for those who don't know, was founded in 2002 by Medea Benjamin, the fabulously wealthy daughter and heir of New York real estate magnate Alvin Benjamin and Jody Evans, who, as it happens, is Roy Singham's wife.

In 2003, Medea Benjamin created the Benjamin Fund, another nonprofit organization with $48 million in assets, which she chairs and which one of her daughters serves as treasurer of.

Through the Benjamin Fund, you write, Benjamin Fund's Code Pink, as well as numerous left-leaning organizations, media outlets, and research centers.

Can you speak a little bit about how these organizations and their links to Roy Singham overlap and how, in other words, individuals wear multiple hats, so to speak, while working for multiple organizations within this network?

Yes, so the idea for this investigation was to take a lot of what New Lines Magazine and the New York Times had reported on this, right? They had mentioned that Syngham, after selling ThoughtWorks, had funneled a lot of that money in the People Support Foundation.

And for us, it was important to try to do an even deeper dive into how the network works and to get a sense of all the different levels, right? And so what we write is that you can see, and also to bring Medea Benjamin together, because a lot of what had been reported had been exclusively focused on Sengum, but because they work in tandem and because a lot of these organizations also support the Cuban government, and that's the other part as well, right? Was to go deeper and then to focus on the organizations that support the Cuban government in the United States.

And so what we found was that actually, for Roy Singham, there's three levels of organizations.

You have at the very top what we call the mother organizations, which are, in his case, the People's Support Foundation, and in Mattia Benjamin's case, the Benjamin Fund, which has been recently renamed to Arc of Justice, which I imagine has to do with the recent investigations that have been launched against her.
