So I'm going to keep with the journalism thing because I just like I'm going to take every character I had there aside from J. Jonah Jameson, who you took at the top of the round.

Ben Urich.

Ooh, nice.

It was, you know, more of a noir-oriented thing where Spider-Woman is back to her detective roots.

She's conferring with Ben Urich, who I always like to see.

And she's...

And she goes up against a mutated spider monster with ties to...

They introduced some new supporting characters, I think, in this Anna Senti story.

Characters I didn't recognize.

And then just a little bit with Ben Urich.

I guess she calls Carol at one point.

So he's like, you know, there's this going on, there's this going on.

And Peter starts to get more and more involved in this world as a photojournalist, helping Ben Urich out.

And Ben Urich is keeping him safe because he's done some, you know, decidedly dangerous things, made some enemies quite early on.

And, you know, he's taking photos.

He's seen, you know, this burning building that's been, you know, burnt down.

Again, Spider-Man gets all that evidence and puts all those corrupt politicians and businessmen away.

Yes.

And again, goes to Felicia Hardy and says, you know, Ben Urich always loved you.

Because that's basically what happens here.

It's Spider-Woman and Ben Urich on a rooftop and, like- [laughs] Like, Ben Urich is narrating, and he literally says something like, you know, "Ah, no wonder they call her the, the mysterious Spider-Woman." Like, she, like, comes out of the shadows.

And I'm like, "Is this a Batman book?" Like, what- [laughs] Like, what is happening here? And- Does he turn around and she's gone? Genuinely, yes.

Genuinely, yes.

And in that, in that Dan Waters story when she's, like, lurking in the shadows and she's kind of like-

Mm-hmm

... being Batman, again, like being Batman and Ben Urich's on the rooftop.

I'm like, like when does this happen, when does this ever happen in the Marvel universe anywhere?

Yeah, I gotta find my wife and daughter.

And he ends up approaching Ben Urich, who at this time is like working together with Jessica Drew during doing kind of like investigative reporting stuff.

He goes to Ben and Jess to be like, My wife and daughter have been kidnapped and I need help, like, finding and rescuing them.

And he and Ben end up tracking them to Moon's Hollow together, at which point Kat is like, oh, fuck, they showed up.

Um.

You

think Ben Urich is gonna expose a town full of people trying to escape from possibly abusive situations? Yes.

I mean, I know that's not going to happen.

Purple Man is an interesting one because I found like, oh man, some of his, the first time I played him, I played him in Stop the Presses.

And I had Ben Urich as my Daily Bugle support.

And so he can look at the top two cards of the deck and discard one.

So I never got Purple Man boost cards because Ben Urich was just yeeting them out of the deck.

Ben Urich was up Purple Man's ass the entire time.

making a move he was up his ass writing an article about him like he's trying to fucking manipulate the firefighters boom there it is in the Daily Bugle next day so it's like the first time I played him I was like that that was what was that like it didn't do anything and then the second time I played him I'm like oh this is poor man's Mysterio and I'm not having fun anymore so

So the person, the guy, the detective guy you mentioned is Ben Urich.

Ben Urich is actually a journalist for the Daily Bugle.

which people may know from Spider-Man because that's like the newspaper.

In DC, it's Daily Planet, where Clark Kent and Lois Lane work.

He's been in a lot of Spider-Man movies.

He's more aligned with Spider-Man.

But Ben Urich works for the same paper.
