hello and welcome back to the rugby collective podcast i am back and we are back um apologies for last week i know it was the first one going into the new season but i was away but i am back um i'm very much looking forward to getting into this podcast and the new prem season myself and will got a little bit of rugby in uh i want to say pre-season it's not pre-season is it it's a Prem Rugby Cup, but it must have been Will went and saw some live rugby again for the first time in a while, so that was good fun on the weekend.

Ben is boring, so he didn't do it.

So, Will, how are we? How do you find the weekend? And you, Ben, as well, I guess.

Yeah, I thoroughly enjoyed the rugby this weekend.

I obviously put my Gloucester bias hat on.

Well, as me and Ben are, I'll run through their players in and out, and then we'll talk a little bit about them.

So they're obviously rebuilding the squad a little bit.

I think we all would have liked to see Roche come back to Ireland and get back in the Irish system but I really like the idea of our Irish coaches impressing over in France and getting confidence from the higher ups like Noel McNamara signed on with Bordeaux until 2029 as well there recently so I like it and you know, I don't want to start talking about the Ireland job too quickly, but it does line up pretty nicely.

As far as the Leinster job goes now, when the Leo Cullen's news did come around, I did fancy Cantapomi as a replacement.

La Rochelle are a great sport because they sign loads of players that people in the UK have heard of because they all signed players from the UK.

So Ben Healy being one.

from Edinburgh and the most probably high profile signing by La Rochelle this season it's Theo McFarland the Samoa captain from Saracens

Saracens yeah yep saw that yeah they've done a decent amount of signing so it'll be interesting to see how they go
