You're more connected to the economics and the forecasting than I am.

Well, I think it's a couple of interesting things.

I, um, you know, I, I'd sort of tell you three quick anecdotes, uh, you know, to this, uh, because I think for those of us that have been in golf a long time, there's sort of a, a healthy degree of skepticism of, you know, the cycles.

But, uh, at one point I was thinking I would, post Cabot Cliffs, that I would go and do other things and, you know, I had some other business interest in industrial businesses and I was really thinking of, uh, of, you know, not s- focusing much energy on golf.

Um, and there were two people I talked to.

One, uh, Simon Cooper, who's a wonderful man who's since passed, who ran Ritz Carlton, was on my board and, uh, he said, "Do you, um, know affluent people who golf?" And I said, "Yes." And he said, "Well, then I think it's gonna be around for quite some time." And Simon was an R&A member, and I think when you think about golf in the sense of I am not a forecaster of retail trends, but St.

Andrews has been there for 500 years, Pebble's been there for 100 years, and, um, you know, and so many of the greats have been there for that long.

What are your impressions of, of Cabot Whales, and any interesting nuggets or, or, or early feedback that you can offer?

So I, uh, I just missed him, and we'd been down, uh, in, at Cape Kidnappers, Tom Doak had a Renaissance Cup, and I'd actually met his son at Barnbougle Dunes the week before that.

Michael Jr. was working at Barnbougle.

Didn't meet Michael Sr.

And I called him maybe a month later, and I'd just seen Inverness.

And we were on the Golf Magazine panel, and we, we knew of each other.

Obviously, he had done the impossible.

What have you learned about giving talented people, really talented people that canvas and then, a- and then letting them do their magic? Uh, what, what's your process with them?
