Um, we had just an amazing group of people.

Like, Ben Collins was there when I was there.

He's the CEO of The Onion now.

Uh, Taylor Lorenz was there.

No cameras, which will probably result in me making less money unfortunately, but, um, we're gonna figure it out.

Uh, we do have a guest who's gonna be joining us in the aftermath, uh, Ben Collins, CEO of The Onion.

Uh, not just The Onion, obviously they have spooled up the new version of InfoWars.

He's gonna be joining us to talk about, uh, those outlets, misinformation, conspiracism, the state of the media.

Also, like, a pretty scary one if you care about satire and, you know, funny stuff on the internet being in the right hands.

Ben Collins, who was a reporter at NBC who covered extremism and misinformation for a long time and had built up a pretty big Twitter following, had quit his job at NBC.

that year, I believe in January of 2024, and some of the onion was up for sale and was like, you know what, we got to do something about this.

And he basically put together a group of people to submit a bid, and it was enough to actually, like, acquire the company, but it wasn't enough to run the company.

So like the timing was really, really great for everyone involved and Lawson submitted a bit as well.

And unlike the other group actually had the capital to run the company.

And instead of clashing, a lawyer working on the deal for Great Hill Partners suggested to Ben Collins that the two of them team up and run the company together because Ben knew how to run a media company, Jeff Lawson didn't, and actually had the humility to understand that he didn't know how to run a media company.

So they teamed up and things have been going really, really well for them.

I told him maybe we'll get muffins for the oil.

So I think Ben Collins is going to deliver the muffins.

The guys at the share could take, the guys at the next share could take.

It's just an annoying memory of an organization that was made by his grandfather, by Ari's grandfather, to help the help for passengers of young men who lost their fathers.
