Bemidji State Beavers men's ice hockey

Cloud State in December.

Um, the, the Beavers were really all over St.

Cloud in that first period.

Shots were 17 to four, Bemidji State, so they were just buzzing.

... tough to play against.

Um, he led the team in plus minus last year.

I think he was second or third on the Beavers in blocked shots.

So, um, you know, when he's on the ice, it's almost like, like having a second goalie out there in some ways, uh, just because he's so sound defensively.

Yeah, it's been tough.

So the Cerritory retirement tour, you know, that was christened very well for Big Midgey, especially that first period.

So Nolan Road on the power play in the second period, and Charlie Laurie gets his first as a Husky on a sweet pass for Thor Bufflin to win.

to really spring that.

But yeah, I was impressed by Michigan Tech.

Now, again, how good are the Gophers? I mean, it's going to be difficult to assess the quality of those wins by the end of the year, let's say.

But I definitely think that Tech's going to be a better team to see than the Midgey.

I'll just say that.

But you know, we've had a great relationship, um, somebody that I've leaned on a lot for the coaches, um, since my time in, in the CCHA because not only is he a good coach, but just he, he understands the game, he has the big picture.

He was never one that's just looking out for, you know, the Beavers.

He was looking out for college hockey, he was looking out for the CCHA.

So somebody I could always bounce something off of.

Like that's become a hot coaching candidate name.

And so Travis Winter, another alum, you know, he went to Bemidji State and now will have a chance to coach the Beavers.

But, you know, I think – Tom Serratore, I read some of Jared Rabedo's coverage in the Babinji Pioneer, and he's not eager to reflect right now.

Tom Serratore wants to dive in and go after this season and basically says we all save the reflections for another time.

So, yeah, we already have one coaching change, and it's a longtime college hockey legend.

He guided the Beavers through their Division One transition.

He's an eight time conference coach of the year.

I think seven regular season conference titles.
