Belvoir St Theatre

Our first guest in studio today is Justin Smith, one of Australian Theatre's most respected leading men.

You'll have seen him on stages at Belvoir, Bell Shakespeare, Griffin and the Sydney Theatre Company, and on screen most recently in The Narrow Road to the Deep North and The Last Anniversary.

But early next year, he's taking on the role of Darryl Kerrigan in the stage adaptation of The Castle, opening in March at Her Majesty's Theatre.

We're also joined online by actor and Logie winner Joel Jackson, who has had closing turns recently at Adelaide and Chelsea for his film Kangaroo Island, and has a run of screen work landing next year, including Play Dead and Dead Howling, where he's also stepped up as associate producer.

And the language is just hilarious.

The Spare Room is o- obviously ripe for storytelling.

Uh, I saw a pl- a play adaptation of it with, uh, Judy Davis and Liz Alexander at the Belvoir Street Theatre here, uh, last year.

Um, it is a [laughs] fascinating story, and as I say-

Yeah
