Belt buckle

So I asked him if he was in MJ-12, just to see what would come through.

He showed me a badge where he showed me the belt buckle.

Maybe the belt buckle was him referring to a badge, and I thought...

Um, it was a belt buckle.

Of course he wouldn't wear a badge if for MJ 12, you know, this is kind of like her thinking out loud, but, um, but it could be his way of saying yes.

Like maybe MJ 12, they don't wear a badge, but they have a belt buckle that indicates that they're a member.

Maybe.

And

Hey, I appreciate that, dude.

It was, uh, it was definitely cool to defend it because if you know anything about hunting out West there, you know, the prize pack is, you know, usually the pot of money is a pot of money, right? Everyone, everyone likes to get paid, but when it comes to belt buckles, it really

is bragging rights, dude, bragging.

I mean, there's guys driving from Arizona, Texas, New Mexico to come and hunt this.

No, it's, uh, that's good stuff.

But, um, like I said, you know, I think there's a lot being said for, for having a hunt and you know, it's like you was talking about for, uh, filming stuff.

You've gotta be, it takes a good team to get, know good partners i guess you should say to make good video to win those belt buckles and whatever else it's just you got to be in tune with each other and sure like you said it's pretty impressive talking about rusty just be able to go grab a partner from wherever and and just consistently go out there and win this stuff now when i say that he's picking good partners it ain't like he's just getting old joe street don't don't get it wrong but you know being able to hunt with just multiple people and get the same results is pretty impressive.

It is.

And they had a quick article in here I also wanted to read.

It's called Cowboys and Belt Buckles, and it's talking about the radio.

And it starts out, Angola's inmate riders and wranglers were feted in May, honoring participants from the 2024 and 2025 radio sessions.

Administrative and correctional officers, radio officials, and representatives of the New Orleans Hondo Radio Fest joined in celebrating those who braved the Bulls, Bronx, and Hard Pack Arena to entertain thousands gathered to experience the wildest show in the South.

Lane spoke for his father, founder of the local automotive giant Jerry Lane Enterprises, who died in 2013.

Quote, A recognition of months of preparation and dedication to the convict cowboys who make it happen.

The ceremony recognizes everyone who participated, but those who walked away with the coveted rodeo winner's belt buckles and those who did not.

For the cowboys involved, it's an opportunity to spend an evening out of the dorm and enjoy a special meal in the company of others who know what it's like to come out of that shoot on the back of a wild bronc.

Take your eyes completely off the ball.

Instead, watch the player's belt buckle.

Watch their lead knee.

Look for that magical moment of overlap where you can literally see their lower body committing to the downswing, shifting down and left, while their club is still floating backward in the air.
