so sunny dancer is from this year folks it just debuted i think on vod if you want to check it out it was written and directed by george jacques we are looking at an 86 fresh on rotten tomatoes 3.5 out of 5 on letterbox and we have non-binary icon bella ramsey so we've talked about them a couple of times on the podcast before starring as main character ivy we have parents karen who was played by baby reindeers jessica gunning we have bob that's the dad played by james norton who i've always loved and then love interest is jake played by daniel quinn toy best friend roommate ella is ruby stokes we have ralph who has a bit of a cancer scare midway through the film played by earl cave And then rounding out the cast, we have camp leader Patrick, who is played by Neil Patrick Harris, as well as a cameo by musician James Blunt.

And at no point, can I just say, at no point did this group of snarky, sarcastic, smart, whip-clever British teens ever say, why are you American to Neil Patrick Harris?

We do get a backstory, but not about why an American is hanging out at the Scottish camp for cancer kids.

Okay, so our protagonist is Ivy Pritchard, and I am going to use she, her pronouns because Ivy does, though Bella Ramsey does not.

She is a 17-year-old leukemia survivor.

who we love.

A few other names, Bella Ramsey, James Blunt, Leanne from Little Mix, Maya Jama, Michael Sheen, Miranda Hart, Richard E.

It's a great cast.

So definitely Amarajan down there.

But I have left Bella Ramsey because, again, if you've seen him in other videos...

Bella Ramsey I think would be a brilliant Tracer.

So I'm definitely putting them up there.

I think for a lot of reasons they would be a very, very strong choice as a Tracer.

Maybe they won't be as well known to older viewers but trust me like Bella has been in some of the biggest TV shows in the world so they would be a very very good choice for a traitor and get a little bit of extra attention on the show maybe by choosing them.

And again, talking about balance, I can just see Bella being a good fit with some of these other choices.

In one of my thumbnails, just as a kind of experiment, I put my Traitors team as James Blunt, Romesh and Bella Ramsey.

You know what I mean? So, and then there's some behind the scenes political stuff.

Bella Ramsey has made some comments and certain episodes landed the way they did.

And certain people got really like, some people got really upset about it for political reasons and things.

So the show, I feel like on its own, unfortunately kind of became a little toxic and, Right.

The hint is they wear kilts.

um so one final movie uh that is in limited release this week and that is sunny dancer this one starring bella ramsey uh as a girl ivy who is recovering from cancer And now that she's back healthy, she doesn't really want to be known as the cancer kid.

But that is a moniker she can't seem to escape.

Her parents, played by Jessica Gunning and James Norton, send her to a camp run by Neil Patrick Harris with other kids in a similar situation to kind of find a place to belong.
