Bella Mackie

Oprah Winfrey talking to Jenni Murray in 2013 about being a precocious child.

An interview last month with writer Bella Mackie on the emotional impact of losing a pet.

Enid Blyton, uh, talking in 1963 about discovering her love of telling stories to children, and Victoria Wood in 1998 talking about bringing up her family away from her Northern roots.

But first, here's Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders in 1986 on their very businesslike approach to comedy.

Um, and then the other books that I had on were, dun, dun, dun, dun.

One is a book that I actually DNFed at 95%, but I just picked it up and I was like, "I'm actually so sick of reading about this book that I just have no desire to finish it," which is How to Kill Your Family by Bella Mackie, which is, like, a girl who got kind of, like, fucked out of getting her inheritance, and then she decides to become a serial killer and kill e- kill everyone who wronged her-

I mean

...

Yes.

Um, I actually saw a very funny thing on social media where, uh, Bella Mackie has a new book out with its titled, "Claws Out," and the bookstore had put it in the window next to "Swan Song" by Earl Spencer-

Oh.

... as a funny little dig at him.

Thanks a mil, Shannon.

Bella Mackie has somehow turned thinking about murder into an extremely successful career.

How to Kill Your Family sold more than a million copies.

What a Way to Go gave us another deliciously dark take on money and class and death, and now she's back, a brand-new, brilliant book, I am stuck into it, called Claws Out.

Absolutely.

I could only imagine.

Uh, Bella Mackie, it has been such a pleasure talking to you.

The new book is brilliant.
