So that's why when we talk about these halachos, and who's chayiv and who's potter, we talk in terms of the shochet, because he's going to be the one that deals with the kamein.
A
27:39Aryeh LebowitzHOST
Rabbi Darshan of the Pasuk, that it says, when the Pasuk is on to say, the very next phrase is, and it doesn't say, it says, We could learn that even if they're not from those people that are called Am, that if the Shochet is himself a Kohen, that if he shech his own Behemoth in order to sell them to other people, so he has to give Matanus Kunah.
A
28:18Aryeh LebowitzHOST
It's only when he's shechting for himself that a Kohen is potter for Matanus Kunah.
A
28:22Aryeh LebowitzHOST
But if you have a Kohen who's a Shochet and he's shucking animals to sell to other people, it's Chayiv in Mat Naskuna.
A
28:46Aryeh LebowitzHOST
Go make a Shudfos with Jewish Shochdim, with Yisraelim Shochdim, because you're going to Pachiv them from Mat Nuskunah, they're going to be happy to make the Shudfos.
A
28:58Aryeh LebowitzHOST
It's a great business opportunity.
A
29:01Aryeh LebowitzHOST
So they'll be wanting to Mishpatim with you and give you a Chalik of the Behemoth.
A
29:04Aryeh LebowitzHOST
Because now they're going to get to keep more parts of the Behemoth, since there's a Kohen Shutfus in it.

Behemoth as well, isn't it? There's a two-piece.
J
13:56Jasun HorsleyGUEST
Yeah.
J
13:56Jasun HorsleyGUEST
I don't, in the book and in my own experience with the book of Job, I don't tend to do much symbolic interpretation or just picking a specific, what does that mean here and what does this mean there? I'm more interested in the dynamic between Job, Satan, and God.
J
14:53Jasun HorsleyGUEST
So, I mean, the context is very much that this is the way that Job is humbled.
J
14:59Jasun HorsleyGUEST
I don't think he's humbled to the point of saying, you're right, God, I'm obviously guilty.
J
15:05Jasun HorsleyGUEST
I think he's still saying, depends on the translation, I am innocent so I'm not really satisfied with your explanation but I admit that I probably wouldn't understand your explanation anyway because you've shown me all this other evidence so okay fair enough you are God and so and I'm not well kind of although I think there's some nuance in there as well so to me and the Leviathan and Behemoth they would represent obviously extremely large aspects of nature, but also destructive and frightening ones.
J

As in, if we have a confrontation with reality, we're going to be overwhelmed by it.
