particularly in terms of its apparent ability to show change.

And so that's when the backlash was driven by behaviouralism because behaviouralism was very clear.

We can measure things.

We can show change.

And then the third wave was the CBT wave because, again, behaviouralism had its limitations.

But it's good to actually look at the history of psychology to realize why perhaps psychodynamic got a bad name, but also how the field's continuing to develop and realize there is no one single approach.

But in saying that, I'm more and more aware of common elements, and I think that's the future.
