There's sort of, particularly with Grodin, he looks to De Niro, you know, there's... that bounty hunter job that he's got but he's kind of like one of those um guys that's got his own moral compass you know and no matter what happens no matter how much money he gets he wants to help you know and um so he's a good guy at heart no matter what happens so that's one of the key things so before we get any you know further into it let me say a few things about uh when i first saw this film now going into it i didn't even realize it was a comedy i'd seen a few trailers from time to time on different vhs's that we'd rented at the time when the film and uh just hit home cinema and you know i you know i thought de niro is going to be super serious Not that I knew him that well back then, but you know, and then Grodin was, from what I knew, a serious actor, before I knew the Beethoven films and the comedies later.
