One of the things absolutely necessary to the beekeeper who works for extracted honey on anything but the smaller scale is some sort of box on wheels which can be used for conveying combs from the hives to the extracting house.

We have received the following copy of the bill against adulteration, referred to on page 92 of the Bee Journal for March 23.

Mr. L.C. Root remarks, The readers of the Bee Journal are, no doubt, interested in the progress being made regarding the bill upon which action was taken at the late session of the Northeastern Beekeepers Association.

the subject is one of marked interest to bee-keepers in general i send you a copy of the bill which may be of interest and which shows the progress thus far made assembly of new york introduced by mr root read twice and referred to the committee on trade and manufactures reported favorably from said committee and committed to the committee of the whole an act to prevent fraud in the adulteration of sugars syrups molasses and honey the people of the state of new york represented in senate and assembly do an act as follows section one any person company or corporation engaged in the manufacture refining or mixing of sugars syrups molasses or honey for sale who shall mix the same with glucose or grape sugar or any other article of adulteration shall before selling or offering the same for sale caused to be marked on the cask or package in which it is contained the percentage of glucose or adulteration therein contained such mark or label shall be in plain roman capital letters not less than one-half each in dimensions in black ink or paint and on the upper and most conspicuous part of the cask or package Section 2.

Section 3. any person who shall violate the provisions of this act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction thereof shall be liable to a fine of not less than ten dollars nor more than two hundred dollars or to imprisonment in the county jail for not more than sixty days or both fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the court section four this act shall take effect on the first day of june eighteen eighty one and of section thirteen Recording by I. He then said, right, what I'll do, I'll put you in for your basic beekeeping qualification.

And this gentleman came from the British Beekeepers and we went into his and went through the theory test.

And then he took us out to one of the beehives and we had to take the lid off, go through the bees and explain what was happening and everything like that.

And the three of us all passed our basic beekeeping exam.

think...

I think there's enough... good beekeepers who will obviously persevere and there's always obviously because it's a big problem obviously it's going to have obviously the British Beekeepers Association they'll have scientists working on it and doing surveys and trying to find out what is going wrong So I think it will get sorted.

It's just that your everyday garden beekeeper sort of listens and does what he's told or what we're told.

And I looked upon the box and realized the best thing to do was to move it into a 10 frame Langstroth configuration and give them even more frames.

With Hive Tool and Smoker in hand, I proceeded to tear the box down and swap out the equipment and I got absolutely lit up in doing so.

As I think about it, ironically, I just signed on to do a presentation about hot hives for the Pennsylvania State Beekeepers Association meeting in November.

I am positive I think this colony will find a way into that presentation because it refreshes my interaction with a hot hive.

They say, moreover, she's married to the wealthiest musician, Jay-Z.

Now, according to Hello, the singer launched out the Beekeepers collector's box on the occasion of her 45th birthday and the 20th anniversary of her album, Bee Day.

Mm-hmm.

They said, now, while she has previously launched several products on her website, the highly priced box caught everybody's attention, honey.
