beehive

Let us know that, hey, this isn't one I wanted to listen to.

So this episode is titled Lessons from the Hive, Episode 1, Bee Having Isn't Beekeeping.

So how I lost 10 colonies and how that taught me between the lessons of owning bees and managing them.

We have to go back in time, back when I only had 10 colonies.

Don't just have bees.

Keep bees.

Thanks for listening to Lessons from the Hive, part of Beekeeping Buddies.

And if you go to larger trade shows, you see their equipment on sale.

Now, as it turns out, Better Bee sells an Abello brand National Hive format.

You can buy it here in the States.

By the way, Abello is spelled A-B-E-L-O, in case you're not familiar with how it was spelled.

Oh,

and I should throw in, I'm looking at stuff in anticipation of going to the Bee Expo, and if things are on sale right now, meaning you can buy them in advance at a discount and pick them up at the show, I need to make my purchases.

As it is, I'm curious also about the Hive 365 offering from Hilco, which is a plastic hive, seems to be a direct competitor to the Apame hives.

But coming back to center, the National Hive.

... honeycomb type situation? That's what I was imagining.

Beehive, I mean.

It's not, no.

Dang.

Joe Rexrode, happy Thursday.

How are you?

are they called? It's got a better name.

Beehive.

No, like a...

It's got a word.

I'm doing all these things.

But as I got connected to the Beehive, that's something that was really important also for my mental wellness.

It was just something about being outside.

The bees really don't have a care in the world.

But sometimes I guess I just need to talk through things because it is a lot.

It is a lot.

But then it takes me back to the Beehive and how they work together.

And guess what? Maybe they don't all necessarily, you know, like they just bring what they bring and just kind of make it work, you know, different perspectives and all.
