Bedford Highway

Yeah, yeah.

That ramp is going to be closed until the end of November, but the city's promising that it'll be a matter of short-term pain for long-term gain and that when this portion of the makeover is complete, commuters will have a clear shot from the McKay through to the Bedford Highway.

It's not good, okay? The Cirque is very slow moving just as you're approaching Burnside Drive, the exit to Burnside Drive.

Once you get, you know, towards the bridge and you come into Halifax, it's very, very slow.

The Bedford Highway towards Windsor Street Exchange is very slow.

The McDonald Bridge coming into Halifax is slow, but more importantly, all of the surrounding streets in downtown Dartmouth getting to the McDonald Bridge.

And when the new ramp is open, they're going to have a direct path for like truckers, for example, to get to the Fairview Cove Terminal.

But also there's going to be a connection to Lady Hammond Road and an easier connection between the McKay Bridge and the Bedford Highway.

But again, this on top of all the other major road projects that are going on at the Winter Street Exchange, it's a lot.

And they did say we are expecting backups, way more backups now across the McDonald Bridge because people will be avoiding the McKay Bridge as they're getting used to the new detour.

So just keep that in mind.
