It sounds like a scene straight out of a Jaws movie, but a close encounter on the coast of Nova Scotia wound up being all too real.

Onlookers were stunned to see a massive shark swimming through the waters of the Bedford Basin Yacht Club Friday evening.

Viewer video captured the big fish, believed to be a basking shark, getting uncomfortably close to the dock several times.

Its large fin could be seen cutting back and forth through the water before it eventually swam away.
