I suppose the reason why I've become so interested in personal tuition for children is that I've been working as a consultant for the US school chain called Alpha School.

And so most of my job at the moment, all day, every day, is evaluating learning apps that developers have built.

helping write specifications for how we should incorporate the science of learning into learning apps and working on assessment on learning apps.

So, you know, that's really the center of everything that I do at the moment.

And I am really, really optimistic that the quality of online learning apps is going to improve rapidly.

I think historically, in part, there wasn't really a market for like initial instruction learning apps.

Are you convinced that it will scale in both those senses, in cost terms and also, as you say, once you take it out of this very highly selective alpha environment, you're still going to get the same positive impact on learning outcomes?
