For me, it was turning over the leadership of the law practice when we were a, you know, a $50 million business to Amber Walsh.

It was me a long time ago turning over the CEO spot at Becker's Healthcare to Jessica Cole.

Uh, Barry Tanner was served on our board at that point, so he, he was very familiar with that evolution and, and how we did that.

But those are very hard on the ego of the founder.

They weren't sort of dependent upon me to thrive.

It was a side-by-side thrive-thrive culture.

Uh, the same thing in the media business at Becker's Healthcare.

The building of a thrive-thrive culture where early on, I saw the talent in the person who became CEO.

Uh, I'm Rick Evans, the co-chair of the Chief Experience Officer Advisory Board here at Becker's Healthcare.

I've had the privilege of serving as the chief experience officer at some great hospitals, including, uh, New York-Presbyterian and Mass General over the years.

Chief experience officers, or CXOs as we like to call them, across the country play a pivotal role in ensuring that their organizations understand the perceptions and the real lived experience of our patients and families and our customers in our health systems.

Year over year, elective surgeries are down 6% at HCA.

Becker's Hospital Review reports other hospital chains, including Tennessee-based Community Health Systems, have made similar observations.

Saturday's high of 100 degrees in Nashville set a new record for the date.

The previous record of 97 degrees was set in 1954.
